Independence Day activities are back in full swing this year, as the city of Dayton prepares for a fireworks show at Riverscape Metro Park. Lights in Flight Festival will start around noon, with food, beverage vendors, and live entertainment for the enjoyment of all ages. Following dusk, fireworks will light up the sky starting at 10 P.M. weather permitting. Admission is free, and it is just a short walk from the Fire Blocks District.
Because of the short distance between Riverscape Metro Park and the Fire Blocks District, you’ll be able to view the fireworks from a multitude of different properties within the district. If you’re a resident of the Elks Lofts, Huffman Lofts, or Graphic Arts Lofts, you’ll have a spectacular view of the show. Not only will you be able to be part of the celebration, but you have the choice to enjoy the fireworks from the comfort of your own living space.
If you’re looking to try one of the new restaurants in the Fire Blocks Districts before you watch the show, make sure to grab a tasty bite to eat and a refreshing drink at Jollity. Their cocktails are unlike any other in the area. Open from 5-10 P.M., you’ll be just in time to end your night with the fantastic firework show in the city.
